pigs might fly
--"There's a chance he won't get involved in this, of course."
--"And pigs might fly."
She will come to your birthday party when pigs fly.
pig out&eat like a pig
① pig out
I stopped pigging out on chips and crisps.
② eat like a pig
Quit eating like a pig in this fancy restaurant—you're spilling stuff all over the tablecloth!
She, in her pig-headed way, insists that she is right and that everyone else is wrong.
lipstick on a pig
从字面上看，lipstick是口红，lipstick on a pig是“给猪涂口红”？
This new operating system is just lipstick on a pig, if you ask me. It's still just as buggy and unintuitive as the last one they released.
The only things the new manager has come up with to save the restaurant have been to put lipstick on a pig, but slapping on a fresh coat of paint and making a few repairs will do nothing to address the underlying problems.
bring one's pigs to market
Sure, she's a talented writer, but she's not disciplined enough to bring her pigs to market.
like a pig to (the) slaughter
在英文中，与“like a pig to (the) slaughter”相对应。与此同时，“待宰的羔羊”也可以直译为“like a lamb to (the) slaughter”，这是一对同义表达。
The six employees were unaware the meetings were to tell them they'd been laid off, and they each marched down to the meeting room like a pig to slaughter.
